Advanced Therapeutic Massage
is a combination of techniques used to bring healing to the
body and relieve pain and discomfort. It promotes circulation, improves
muscle tone, restores mobility, and relieves stress, and can stimulate
or relax the body while bringing about health to the immune system. It
removes toxins from the muscles, lessens inflammation and swelling in
joints bringing flexibility, strength, and a reduction in pain. It also
helps to compensate for the lack of exercise due to illness and injury.
With regular massage, strains and sprains heal more rapidly while
cramps and stiff muscles may become a thing of the past. Massage can
calm and soothe the nervous system by relieving pressure and
inflammation around the nerves. Effective for helping arthritis, labor
and delivery, whiplash, muscular pain, sciatica, muscle spasms, and
more. It is especially helpful for those with chronic pain and
headaches. Helps maintain posture and body balance, increases flow of
nutrients to bones, and increases the supply of oxygen and nutrients to
cells throughout the body. Can bring about a balancing effect to those
with high or low blood pressure. Tones the skin, encourages its renewal
process, helps give elasticity and strength, & keeps wrinkles at
bay. Over a period of time, it can impart a healthy radiance to the
skin.
Chair Massage
Known as
seated massage, chair massage, or on-site massage, this technique involves the
use of a specially designed massage chair in which the client sits comfortably.
The modern chair massage was originally developed David Palmer, but the
technique is centuries-old, with some Japanese block prints illustrating people
having just emerged from a nearby bath, receiving massage while seated on a low
stool. Seated massage includes bodywork and somatic techniques, such as shiatsu,
amma, and Swedish massage, provided to the fully clothed client in a variety of
settings, including businesses, airports, and street fairs.
Craniosacral Therapy
A gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the function of the membranes and cerebrospinal
fluid (The "River of Life") that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. It is helpful for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including:
migraine headaches, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, chronic neck and back pain, emotional difficulties, stress and tension, central nervous system disorders, TMJ, chronic fatigue, scoliosis, neurovascular and immune disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, post-surgical dysfunction, autism,
ADD, ADHD, fibromyalgia, other connective-tissue disorders, and more.

Myofascial Release
A gentle whole body "hands-on" approach to the evaluation and restoration of balance of the human structure. Fascia is a connective tissue that is stretchable, pliable, and extremely tough. It surrounds and separates every organ, muscle, bone, nerve, and blood vessel down to the cellular level. It supports, stabilizes the body, and acts as a shock absorber. It can restrict motion, lose flexibility, shorten limbs and cause pain due to trauma, inflammation, and poor posture.
Correct release of this powerful and important "body protector"
requires a finesse, touch and advanced skill level. Highly effective for
releasing whiplash, frozen shoulder, restrictions throughout the body, organs,
feet and most injuries to the body.

Myofascial
Soft Tissue Mobilization
Myofascial Soft
Tissue Mobilization is the least gentle and the most aggressive, more mechanical of the
techniques and are designed to break up superficial cross-restrictions of the
collagen of the fascia. At times it is necessary to relieve the fascial
restrictions in order to alleviate pain and restore function. It is used to
alleviate any resulting soreness traditional therapy modalities may cause.
Increases skin mobility, release restrictions, clears tight areas, relieves back
pain, and dysfunction. Some restrictions are caused by scar tissue that can have
long reaching effects throughout the body causing seemingly unrelated symptoms
and dysfunctions. Myofascial Soft Tissue Mobilization can release scar tissue
and adhesions.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a science, dealing with the principle that there are reflexes in the hands and feet. By stimulating these reflexes, many health problems can be helped or prevented. Reflexology helps to improve nerve and blood supply, and normalize body functions, and relax the stress that can affect health. A combination of massage and reflexology can stimulate the body's healing response effectively.

St. John Method
of Neuromuscular Therapy
St. John Method of
Neuromuscular Therapy is helpful for Myofascial Pain Syndrome, Chronic muscle
tension and pain, TMJ, spasms, sleep problems, and many problems that cause
pain. Eliminates pain and dysfunction and "inactivates" active
points of pain(trigger points) caused by acute trauma, repetitive stress, injuries in youth,
physiological imbalance. Modalities include: Cranial Decompression, TMJ
Release, Visceral Massage, Shoulder Release, Cervical and Pelvic
Stabilization, Atlas -Axis Mobilization, Advanced Cranial Decompression, Low
Back Releases, and much more. Effective use of this modality includes postural
assessments and structural evaluation. This method is one of the most restorative
and thorough modalities available that yields phenomenal results.

Lymphatic Drainage
The Lymphatic
System is a complete and specific system of the body that protects from
illness, can conquer disease,& is an integral part of the immune system.
It relies on healthy muscle activity to remove toxins from the cells and the
blood stream, and produces white blood cells in the lymph nodes and thymus.
With the removal of toxins, the blood can carry more oxygen and nutrients to
the cells, increasing red cell count, allowing faster cell regeneration &
enabling the immune system to fight against infections and disease. Lymphatic
Drainage is beneficial for pre- and post-operative patients, aiding in a
faster recovery time and lessening the chance of infection after surgery. (It
is helpful to have 3 Lymphatic Drainage massages before surgery and 8
after surgery). For general health and cleansing of this body system it
is recommended that persons have 4 Lymphatic Drainage massages
a year (one for each change of season).
