A great war rages on inside
am I worthy enough for thee,
can you ever really love
the true and purest me?

do you really understand
all I wish to be
can you look beyond my abstracts
the visions that I see?

do you love me for a reason
or is it unconditionally,
will I ever know and feel
this great love to be,

or is it there to bask in
to tap upon with glee
every time I have the good sense
to look upward to thee?
