Once upon a time
we were told there would be
someone who'd love us
through eternity

someone would say
I love you so true
and life would begin
with love so brand new

I'll always be faithful
I'll always be true
are words that once broken
never more will do

so a love that comes along
later in life
needs to be told
it's a love without strife

what are the words 
that now can be spoken
to prove this love's 
much more than a token

more than just 
a safe place to be
a stop over until
we no longer will be

with all love words used
and all love words dead
are there anymore
love words to be said?

Yes someone once told us
life would be so divine
and it would happen
once upon a time.
