In the Name of Vain
Facelifts, nose jobs
and lots of lyposuction,
folks are getting upgraded
at a rate of mass production
where will be the character
that years so kindly give
as our youth falls away so silently
while we go on to live
where will be the lines of age
that show our progress still
the beauty of smiling eyes
over years gives me a thrill
everyone will look the same
in some 20 years
but I will look much older,
for I don't have their fears
so let gravity effect me,
years of living too,
and when you meet me later on
age will present myself to you.
