The sweetness of 
a rose in bloom,
permeates 
throughout my room,

a act of love 
you gave to me
this bud of love,
so dear to me

sunlight through 
my window glows
on this special
thoughtful rose,

it stands there
a tribute to
this glorious love
of me and you,

I will press it
in a book,
for a future day,
to take a look,

for when ever I
have the yen
to see this
tender rose again.
