You mustn't give your self away
when it comes to loving so,
of yourself is fine enough,
but some things you shouldn't let go.

Be very careful not to let
things of you slip away,
giving up pride of self,
is not the true love way

don't give up the simple things
that make you so unique,
nor the things of you so grand
like creativity at it's peek

for if you give the things away
that are truely you,
when you go to get them back again
you might just have to start a new

reaching back through time
to find the things you lost
and the love you gave them up for
never cared for your great cost.

Approach love with great caution
don't be as willing as me,
to fly into another's world
and leave my world empty.
