How do you see or
feel another's pain
when your own sorrow
makes you close to insane,

how can your heart
well up with tears
for another's great plight
when your heart's full of fears,

or how do you let 
another's pain get you down
and let it replace 
your laughter with a frown,

how on earth can you 
reclaim your day
when another's sorrow
has come your way,

what is the factor 
that leads you to
letting go of yourself
and beginning a new

way of life
that allows you to be
more empathic
to sorrows you see?
