I'm thankful for the days that bring
you and me and everything,

we can face this world so wide,
as long we are side by side,

and all the things we hope too do
some things old and some things new

are dreams we now do ponder on,
for the days when ties that bind are gone

and all the tomorrows we have to see
I'm glad together we will be,

so though things now are a bit too rough
I pray we both can still be tough,

for the days ahead can be a treat
like those behind in memories sweet,

for if I know one thing or know another,
I love to be with you dear mother.
