Did He Know?
He looked at me with bedroom eyes,
and told me he was true,
that he'd always love me.
and always be true blue.
He told me I was special,
my ways thrilled him so,
and that my personality,
was what he liked to know.
He said he loved my company,
that I always made him proud,
and he told me he'd yell it
from rooftops good and loud.
He swore I was his woman,
and he'd always be my guy,
then he said I should forgive him,
for he was a little shy.
He couldn't always say the things
"that I should know his heart",
without hearing all the time,
how we'd never be apart.
'till one day I drove away crying,
and looked at him to see,
no where in his eyes,
was there anything of me.
