Murphy
His demeanor was proud,
strong and secure,
you knew he was bold,
and his heart was pure,
his sacrifices unending,
his loyalty true,
if he loved you,
there was nothing he wouldn't do.
Steadfast and tall,
he'd stand by his friend
and be there to lean on,
and did to the end.
His life stood for honor,
this I tell you so true,
he made me humble
by things that he'd do.
His eyes showed compassion
like none I've ever seen
once you saw him you'd have known
exactly what I mean.
In our hearts there will always
be a part of him there,
for the dearest of friends
this canine so fair.
