Life's A Teaser
It doesn't matter that I told myself
I won't see you again
still hopeing against all hope
that something will begin,
between the two of us
oh so steadfastly
joining up as one
in loves eternity.
Did that already happen
I really do not know,
now that time has passed
the burned out afterglow.
What difference does it make
to my memory,
if what we had was magic
if we are not meant to be?
Won't somebody tell me,
please explain it please,
how life presents a present,
just long enough to tease?
