I've run my race and
it was so darned hard,
all the effort and trials,
lots of wounds have scared

the journey has been gruesome
and tiring at best
and many times my courage
was put to a mighty test,

but as I came close to the finish
I realized I'd won,
I'd won with the knowledge,
that the jaunt had just begun.
