Operations Engineer

·         Our client is currently searching for an entry level Operations Engineer in our Dallas, Texas office.

·         This position will report to the Area Engineering Manager

·         Candidate should have a background in wellwork, enhanced oil recovery, artificial lift and surface production facilities. However, if client is deficient in some of this experience, client will provide additional career training and education as needed. Technical capabilities will drive the candidate’s initial work assignments.

·         Our client is the largest oil and natural gas operator in Mississippi, owns the largest reserves of CO2 used for tertiary oil recovery east of the Mississippi River, and holds key operating acreage in onshore Louisiana, Alabama and Texas Barnett Shale areas.

 

Requisite Experience:

- Prepare and manage well completion and workover programs in primary/secondary/tertiary operating environments

- Monitor production and injection well performance, and conduct reservoir surveillance to develop action plans

- Design, construct and modify production facilities and infrastructure

- Prepare field development plans and capital budgets

- Implement and manage multi-step projects while reporting results to management

- Assist in preparing the lease operating budget and monitor results

- Identify and implement production optimization and cost reduction

 

Desirable Qualifications:

- Maintain and evaluate data that lead to prudent technical and financial decisions

- Ability to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision against assigned deadlines

- Cultivate relationships and work directly with all levels of personnel from field operations to top management

- Ability to clearly convey practical concepts and relevant information in oral presentations or written reports to all levels of organization

 
Qualifications
- Gulf Coast experience a must
- Mississippi Interior Salt Basin experience a plus

- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

- Willing to travel as needed

 

Requisite Education:

- BS in Engineering with a preference in Petroleum Engineering

- Minimum of two years of relevant oil and gas experience

- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently

- A six-figure package plus performance bonus.
