Senior Staff Landman

Summary

· Aggregate experience as Senior Landman or Senior Staff Landman must exceed fifteen years.
· Definitive experience managing staff Landmen while employed with onshore exploration and production petroleum companies.
· Resume must be predominately regular W-2 employment.
· In addition to staff management, you’ll be responsible for managing the assigned land duties and/or tasks in an assigned area including the negotiations of Oil & Gas leases, farm-out/farm-in agreements, property acquisitions or divestitures, surface damages, saltwater disposal agreements and right-of-way agreements. 
· Also responsible for the managing the preparation of operating agreements, lease line cooperative agreements and joint ventures, in addition to coordinating and leading work by outside land brokers. 
· Lead special projects and presentations regarding internal and 3rd party ventures.
 
Requisites
· Only those with predominate regular W-2 employment need apply. 
· Bachelor's degree in Business or higher level degree is required (emphasis in Land Management, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management, or Marketing) with a minimum of fifteen years of Senior Petroleum Landman work-related experience. 
· A significant amount of your career must include negotiations and preparation of oil and gas contracts, and negotiations with mineral and leasehold estate owners and surface landowners.
· Mineral and leasehold research and ownership determination from the public records.
· Inordinate negotiating skills and experience in dealing with industry partners. A broad knowledge of oil and gas law, real estate law, contract law and general knowledge of Federal, State, Indian, local or other regulatory requirements, laws, rules, and regulations, particularly in the jurisdictions to which you’ll be assigned.
· To iterate, you must have exceptional transactional experience to be considered.
· Must be local to Midland, Texas region

Remuneration:

· Mid six figures annual salary

· Regular long-tenured W-2 career employment with established long-tenured employer.
