Our natural mind comes already wanting to be more integrated, but our
overly-LeftBrained educational system has caused most of us to become overly-linear and
overly-verbally programmed. We all have the ability to tap into what I call the
"Cosmic Computer", from within, thru our telepathic, intuitive side of the
brain, the RightBrain. We just have to develop it, and let it unfold within
us.
A wonderful book that describes some of this is Julian Jaynes'
The Origin Of Consciousness In The Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind
One thing that helped me become more integrated was learning CAD drawing, i.e.,
computer-assisted drawing. It utilizes the RightBrain to keep the mental model of
the drawing, and the LeftBrain is learning to use the software. That activity
tends to help promote mental integration. I learned AutoCAD, but there are many
less-expensive softwares to help learn CAD.
Also, I started using my LeftHand for the mouse clicking. It never felt right in
the RightHand.
Choose things to do that make the other, less-favored hand work.

The general idea is that the brain wants to use both sides, but our usual schooling
over- emphasizes memorization and the verbal side, so that we can spit words back
out to the teacher on a test,
and neglects teaching us to use the intuitive, "tune into it" side, that knows how
to tap into the "Cosmic Computer", probably thru our own DNA frequencies.

Instead of thinking about Time as linear, we need to think about it as
multi-dimensional, something we can learn how to tune into higher and higher layers
of the intermingled realities.
Instead of machines to travel back into frozen time that already happened, and try
to change events, we need to learn how fluid creating our own future really is,
and learn how to more creatively choose our own futures now.
I probably haven't answered your questions, the way you expected. A good subject
to study along these lines is called SYSTEMS THEORY.
In my system, we need to consciously choose what we think about, especially in the
72-hour periods preceding New Moons, Winter Solstices, and things like eclipses,
when the angles between large planetary bodies converge, then diverge. Our atoms
and molecules are like recording media, they record our thought frequency.
Helena P Blavatsky, the founder of Theosophy, wrote about "chains of worlds",
in her series "The Secret Doctrine". In some of my 1975 visions, it was
clear that when the nuclear bombs were exploded in 1945, it disturbed the magnetic
fields of the Earth. The old planetary image had begun dys-integrating, and a new
one had immediately begun to form. The weather patterns are not going to stabilize
until we learn to tune into that new planetary image, that next image in a chain of
worlds. Not until we learn to conceive of "world" as more like software.
It sounds pretty drastic, but almost all of us are going to have to transcend our old
ways of thinking, and move into more dynamic mental models. The old stage is
dys-integrating beneath us.
