PURPOSE OF THIS PAGE- To provide information to help citizens to interact with their elected officials in Trinity County. This is not an Official Trinity County Government Webpage. - just another TrinityCam Information Page

Board of Supervisors MEETING INFORMATION

• MEETING DATE, TIME and PLACE- The Trinity County Board of Supervisors meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month. LOCATION- The Community Meeting Room at the Main Branch of the Trinity County Library. It is located in Weaverville, on Highway 299W at Red Hill Road, across the street from the US Forest Service Building. The building is on your RIGHT going towards Eureka, and on the LEFT going towards Redding on highway 299.

  PARKING- There is nearby handicap parking in the Library Parking Lot. The meeting room is on ground level, with easily accessible entry to building and meeting room. Addtional parking is on side streets, be sure to take notice of the posted parking signs in the area.

  REST ROOM- There is a unisex handicapped accessible public restroom just outside the meeting room in the building lobby.

  TIME OF MEETING- The meetings are called to order at 0900 and a lunch break from aproxiamately 12 noon until 1 PM. The meetings usually end at aproxiamately 4 pm, but will vary related to the length of the agenda. If you consult the agenda, it will give you an idea of the lenghth of the meeting.

• SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT MAP- Trinity County along with all California Counties was required to redistrict to meet new legal representation requirements. TrinityCam was provided by this photocopy map November 15th, 2001 at the TCBOS office. The larger map's file size is 174K, the smaller map is 19K and the 2nd District Map is 4K. • PUBLIC POSTING of MEETING SCHEDULE- BOARD MINUTES - BOARD AGENDA - in Weaverville at the COURTHOUSE. The AGENDA is posted at the Trinity County Courthouse (Highway 299 & Court Street) on the East Wall Bulletin Board, near the ground level main entrance to the building on Court Street.

• OFFICIAL TRINITY COUNTY WEBSITE- The OFFICIAL Trinty County WEBSITE URL is http://www.trinitycounty.org- Several other Trinity government departments are listed to different extents on the website. The frames website maintains the most current data, parts of the no-frames website has not been updated since 1999. TrinityCam was informed that a new Trinity County Official Website and associated support is being planned to serve the community better at a future time

• VIDEOTAPE RECORD OF MEETINGS- The meetings are now videotapedby the County and are greatly improved in sound quality. The Supervisor's Meetings are often shown "live" in Weaverville on cable TV Channel 22. You may contact the Office of the Trinity County Board of Supervisors at (530) 623-1217 for information about the video recordings of these public meetings. The production of the video is now done by the County of Trinity Clerk Recorder's Office.

  VIEWING SUPERVISOR'S MEETINGS VIDEOTAPES- Copies of TC BofS meeting videotapes are availiable for check-out through the Trinity County Public Library headquartered in the same building as the meetings. The Main Branch of the Trinity County Library phone number is (530) 623-1373.

Board of Supervisors CONTACT INFORMATION

• SUPERVISOR EMAIL- To send ALL supervisors an EMAIL you will need to individually address email to each supervisor. Customarily, contacting the elected supervisor from your district is usually the best way to proceed. However, some issues may warrant contacting more than one Supervisor.
• U.S. MAIL to SUPERVISORS- First Class mail has always been the best way to send written communications. First Class mail is very reliable, if you are concerned about delivery, certified or proof of mailing services of theUS Postal Service are availliable. FEDEX or United Parcel Service is availiable for Trinity County delivery at various garanteed delivery times and days.

  If you send an individual letter to addressed to all supervisors they will receive copies of it. You may wish to check the list on this webpage for the verified communication preferences of individual supervisors. Some Supervisors and government officials may have additional addresses listed on this webpage.

  As this page is written (October 2001), there is now evolving BIOLOGICAL TERRORISM to the US MAIL system to slow and sabotage the US mails. Perhaps in the future an SENDING E-MAIL copy of your letter may eventually evolve into a good way to communicate with goverment officials.

• TELEPHONE and FAX- The contact listings on this webpage show some common official voice and FAX contact numbers. Some are listed as "business" and "home" or "other" numbers. You may wish to try more than one of the numbers listed.
