  2007 Salmon Festival

  In 2007 the festival was held in the Highland Meadow, next to the Highland Art Center on Weaverville's main street. There were many booths selling food, crafts, jewelry, toiletries, produce and artwork of all types. There were informational booths and displays to educate about the Salmon, Rivers, Heritage Fruit Tree Project and many local groups that promote various projects. There were musicians of all kinds playing throughout the day. Many different foods were present from a Hot Dog Cart, Ice cream, drinks, BBQ Salmon and much more.

  The Event was sponsored by the Trinity County Chamber of Commerce, Trinity County Resource Conservation District, Trinity County Arts Council, Trinity River Restoration Program, University of California Cooperative Extension and Americorps USA Watershed Stewards Project.

  The 2006 festival was held in the meadow next to the Highland Art Center. (more info soon)

  2004 Salmon Festival

  In 2004 the festival was in Lee Fong Park on October 16th. The Venders and Information Booths were open from 9AM to 4PM. Music from various groups in the Amphatheater conmplimented the Event. At 5:00PM the Community Bonfire and Weenie Roast Began with acustic music and a good time for all.

  The Event was sponsored by the Trinity County Resource Conservation District, Trinity County Arts Council, Trinity County Chamber of Commerce, Weaverville-Douglas City Parks and Recreation District, US Forest Service and USDA.
