It's just so hard for me to believe,
"he'll never write again"
something must have happened
for this nightmare to begin.

All at once the e-mail stops
as quickly as it started,
online e-mail romance 
is not for the faint hearted!

So many times it's happened
I can't imagine why
so intensely they express
they're not like any other guy.

When the writing stops it either means
that all those times he lied,
or maybe it's so much easier to think
"Oh no, he must have died."
