A Good Woman Loved You

A very good woman once loved you. You foolishly threw her away. Did you ever stop and wonder, if for this you had to pay? For it was your words that won her, and she trusted your actions so few. You thought you let her down easy, but her heart took a beating so cruel. There's a debt you will carry that lingers, though happiness is in your sight, the future to you looks cheery, but the core of your heart knows the night. She has for you no ill feelings, for she is good to the core, but just like all good women, she knows God will even the score.
