Bucky The Big Toothed Beaver
Bucky the big toothed beaver
was chomping away at a log
when out of his eye
he couldn't deny he was
eating the home of a frog,
"Hey whatcha doin'" says Willie,
the frog with
the big gaping eyes,
"I'm building a damn" says
Bucky, "and to move off this
log you'd be wise"
"I'll never leave this
home of mine, says Willie
so stern and true,
"You just better get out of
here" and find a new log
to chew"
"and what if I don't" says Bucky
"will you hop on my head" laughed he,
"no you old fool" said Willie
"but you'll be sorry, you'll see"
But Bucky didn't listen to Willie
he chewed that old log right on down,
and Willie had nothing to say,
for his face was now home to a frown.
Bucky told Willie "don't worry, I'm
a good beaver, really I am,
I made a new home for you Willie,
right here next to the damn,
So Willie hopped right on over,
and a smile appeared on his face.
"Thanks Bucky" he said as he landed
right upon his new home at frogs pace.
It was a busy day said Willy
and Bucky just had to agree,
tomorrow will be even busier,
than it was today said he,
and Bucky motioned to Willy
to look over there and to see
that much to Willy's amazement
was elephant leaning back on a tree.
