Whatever I Face
Lighthearted and boldly I face my day,
though it wasn't always just this way.
There was a time when I lay next to you,
but you didn't want me what ever I'd do.
I loved you then, I love you now,
a part of me always will love you somehow.
Those nights of feeling your body by mine
knowing your love had been gone for sometime.
Stirred such a feeling of pain in me
that I vowed one day of you I'd be free.
I knew that no matter what came my way,
tragedy or sorrow, or any price I'd pay.
Nothing, no nothing ever at all,
could be worse than watching our love take a fall.
