With Coffee & Tea, Together We Be
The mailman came
with a package so fine
a gift of coffee
from sweet mother mine,
as the mailman pulled
right up to me,
I handed him a package
filled with tea.
I was sending it to Marissa,
my granddaughter so sweet.
We shared a cup together,
she saw it as a treat.
Now my mother and I
have had many cups too,
she knows I like coffee,
so what did she do?
She sent a package
that arrived the same time
I sent tea to Marissa.
Sweet family mine.
