You still can hurt me,
I don't know why,
You cut to my heart
with the sound of your sigh,

the pause in your voice
puts fear in my heart,
it's been that way
since we've been apart.

I crave for just the smallest
wee bit of attention,
and my heart beat stills,
in anticipation.

But I'll tell you this
and I'll tell you now,
I swear to God
I'll get over you somehow!
